What I really liked about this towel is that it is long enough to use both hands to scrub the back to ensure effective cleaning. The first time I used it, there was an easy motion with both hands of the soft material to cover all areas of the back with lather enough to ensure good coverage. The size of the regular wash rag did not allow this ease of motion as it was awkward with the short material and choppy strokes with the arms and elbows at odd angles. I could feel the difference after one use, and I did not have to find an angled corner of a room to scratch my back because the towel had removed more dead skin cells that would have caused itching.
